Area Rugs

I'm not used to having a house with such hard floors. Normaly or at least in every other Military housing we've lived at it's been carpeting. I always hated it and never thought i'd miss it, but it sure does effect your feet when your walking around barefoot. We are looking into area rugs so that we can at least have some sort of floor covering. There are some great sales at the Rug Sale website. Not alot of local rug places out where we are so the internet is always great.

My Photography

I found this cool website called Finerworks that lets you upload all of the photographs that you have taken and sets you up your own personal website. The best part? It gives you the option of offering copies of your photographs to purchase. Feast

I was watching this movie again earlier and it really isn't THAT bad. I remember watching the Matt Damon and Ben Affleck Project Greenlight show back in 2004 and watching the director try and make the movie. I kept waiting for it to come to theatres but it never did and unfortunatly was a made for dvd release. It sucks that the Project Greenlight show itself died. I had just started watching it and then I guess the ratings plumeted.

Can you beleive it?

Can you beleive it's been almost an entire school year already? It seems like just yesterday that I was dropping Travis off at preschool the first day, crying my eyes out. Now it's going to be May tomorrow and that means only a month and two weeks left of school. Before I know it he will be starting Kindergarden. Crazy!

Checking out sales

Well, Travis's 5th birthday is coming up. Can you beleive it?! I can't beleive how fast the years have gone by just already. He is almost done with Pre-K and will start Kindergarden next fall. Crazy! Anyway, we don't have alot of money to get him presents before we go on our trip to Maine, so we have to try and find him so inexpensive presents before we leave. Buy.com is having a great sale right now, so I am leaning towards purchasing something really cool from that site.

Motorcycle

My husband has wanted to get a bike forever. I have alwayss said no way because of the high chance of an accident. Especially with how he has waited so long to get one. It just seems like that would ironicly be the time he would get in an accident and get hurt would be within the few days that he got one. I suppose we can't live with such fear though and that eventually he should be able to get one when we can afford it. Sometimes I worry about other mnotorists on the road smashing into a motorcycle. Rachel Grindal

A childhood classmate of mine was recently found violantly stabbed to death in her minivan outside a friend's home. She, as well as her passengers were violantly attacked. Violantly attacked. Rachel died and another passenger was criticly wounded. The third passenger ran for help. That's all we know right now. Of course rumours and gossip are running rampant about her lifestyle and who she hung out with. It's such a sad situation. I feel for her family and friends. Rachel was a decent human being and I highly doubt she could physicly hurt anyone.

Cats

For the longest time Travis and I have wanted to get a kitten. It's hard because we are in Guam, so far away from the US and we have a trip planned in two months and we will be gone for four or so weeks. So we can't get one before then, and then it's like what if we want one when we get back? We will probably go on another trip later next year too..and then what happens when we move from here? Is it really complicated flying your pets on an airplane and moving them with you? Lots of things to consider. When we DO get a kitten, it's going to be spoiled with tons ofcat supplies. Catnip, cat toys, scratch poll, etc.

64 Zoo Lane

Speaking of blasts from the pasts..here is a show that used to be constantly playing in the background when my son was a baby. Even though he wasn't old enough to watch tv at that point, i'd still have it on those cartoon channels while I fed him or did the laundry and stuff like that. Pretty goofy. It almost makes me sad and nostalgic to hear the theme song now.

Veggies

I've been trying to make myself eat more veggies. They are a very low calorie food and are of course good for you, but obviously they don't taste as good as fruit. I love sweet potatos though and corn and cucumbers and radishes. I wish we lived somewhere where I could buy a bunch of vegetable plants and have my own little garden. Unfortunatly where we are right now, we don't even have much of a yard.

Oobi

Here is a blast from the past. Oobi. I remember when my son, who is now going on 5 years old, used to LOVE this show. Now he is totally turned off when he sees the commercials for the show. I guess it IS kind of strange..I mean it's a hand with eyeballs..

Eating Healthy

I have learned quite a bit about nutrition over the last few years. True, I am still overweight, but that is because I have to work on my inner demons and my food addiction. Some hunger is real hunger and some hunger is phantom hunger. Quite a few people, myself included have a hard time determining between the two. Many people turn to appetite suppressants to try and give them a bit of a boost in that department. I've never tried any, but I have definatly considered it.

Jogging

You know, I really, really need to get off my butt and start jogging outdoors. I have been self concious about giving it a try, and normaly just run around inside my house (I know, it sounds odd but that is what I do) so that no one see's me. However, after seing how even new moms are out there with their baby jogger strollers, I really have no good excuse to NOT try it. I don't think the other joggers have the time to stop and watch my uncordinated self and make fun of me, so I should just get over the fear.

So much for the Wii Fit

You know..I was so excited about the Wii fit when we first got it. I had wanted a Wii for so long and after the first week we got bored with it, already. In all honesty, the Wii fit wasn't really much of a workout...like..at all..and honestly, playing normal games on it is kind of a pain in the butt..I mean the sports games are fun, feeling like your actually bowling or hitting a baseball, but regular games like lego Indiana Jones and stuff like that are just hard for those of us not coordinated LOL.

Haven't been around in a long while

Sorry I haven't been around in a long while and that my posts haven't been of much quality lately. I have been without the internet for quite a LONG time now but finally got it back. Before now I had to get online at McDonalds. Ugh. Anyway i'm back!!
