Tech Careers

If you've recently finished college, sometimes it can be hard to find a job in today's world. AnIT job search can be pretty daunting. However, there are a number or resources on the web that can help you do a job search and post a resume. Most everything is done online these days so that is the way to go about starting your search. Looking in the want ads in your local paper seems to be becoming a thing of the past. Things have for sure changed quite a bit over the years. Even most training is done by computers these days. Even if you work at a grocery store!. A good site to start your job search would be the Tech Careers website.

Everything but the kitchen sink

Whenever I'm scrubbing toothpaste residue off of our bathroom sink, I think to myself how nice it would be to have one of those really nice vessel style sinks, or a wall hanging sink. Most of us just have the plan old white ceramic style sinks in our bathrooms..but these days there are so many different options as far as bathroom and kitchen sinks go. Round, square, wall hanging, self rimming, etc. I want a vanity top sink in my bedroom.

Life Insurance

Sometimes my husband and I, when we're hard up on cash and need to pay a bill, will often joke about how maybe one of us will keel over and we can use the life insurance to help us out. We're only kidding, OF COURSE. However, it's not really a laughing matter. Like the John Lennon's song says "Life is what happens to you when your busy making other plans". Things DO happen and most often they happen unexpectedly. It's very important to be prepared and get yourself a life insurance quote right away. Hopefully you won't need it for a very long time, but better safe than sorry.

Industrial Supplies

When I was younger we used to visit my dad at the shipyard that he worked at. This was where I learned about industrial safety supplies . Everyone was always wearing hard hats, safety goggles, work gloves, steel toe boots and ear plugs. My dad would often be working on insulation installation on the ship. He often works in very, very hot places. I can't count how many times my dad has come home with non used ear plugs falling out of his pocket. He has worn through quite a pair of steel toe boots. He's worked in the same place since the 80s. Quite a few people have fallen off of ladders in these places before so i'm glad that my dad makes good use of his safety supplies.

Skin care

If your like me and are starting to look into taking better care of your skin, but don't know where to start when looking for anantiaging skin product, you need to check out antiaging-products.net. They have consumer reviews of the best products available at the moment. It's always better to hear from real people that have actually USED the products than just relying on people in tv commercials that are being paid to promote the product itself. Sometimes reading a bunch of reviews saves you from wasting a ton of money on a product that CLAIMS to be getting great reviews.

Blackheads

You may be asking yourselfwhat are blackheads ? Blackheads are those tiny darker bumps on your skin that resemble in grown hairs. They are not hair though, they are dirt and oil deposits. They are much harder to treat than normal acne, as they are hard deep and hard to get at. As i've stated before, my skin is pretty sensative. If I pick at a blackhead and make it bleed, it tends to get infected and it looks much worse than if I had just left it alone. Basicly if I try and get rid of the blackhead in that way, it makes it ten times more noticeable than if I had just left it alone. As far as pimples go, (which are different than blackheads) i've had to put a small round band aid on them (as if people don't know what i'm trying to cover up) just so i'm not tempted to pick at them.

Organic Face Cream

Speaking of getting older, gray hairs, and taking better care of our skin, i'm looking into a variety of organic face cream. I personaly think organic is better for me than some of the more scented and advertised ones on tv because I tend to have sensitive skin. Many acne products have been known to give me a chemical burn. Any cream without added chemicals is the way to go. I suppose for me it's the same with food as well. All the added extras cause me to want to eat more, causing a negative effect. Sometimes more is NOT better.

Wrinkles

Ok guys. Do you know what I did yesterday? I pulled two very white hairs out of the top of my head. I have gray hairs. I am not even 30 year. However, I have to point out that I had a few gray hairs when I was 15 as well. Now at age 29 there are just MORE of them and they are easier to spot. I need to color my hair again! It gets me thinking..how long before I need to look into anti wrinkle treatments? I thought I was to young for that but I don't think so. I don't think Jennifer Garner is more than a few years older than me and she is always on tv talking about anti-aging creams. Crazy! time to do my research.

Owning a store

I remember when I was in preschool back in the early 80s, we had one of those pretend check out stands with a toy cash register and bar code scanner. We had boxes set up with the play food (fruits, boxes of cereal, fake canned food, etc) and pretended we were all either shopping or working in a grocery store. We'd always fight over who got to be the cashier. I imagine running a real store isn't quite as easy as running a pretend one! For example you can't buy property, merchandise orPOS systems with play money. Not to mention paying the employees!. I bet it's rewarding though. POS systems (computerized registers and scanners) have certainly changed quite a bit over the years.

Computers

I've always said that I have the worst luck with computers. However, more recently i'm inclined to think that it's more likely that I wasn't taking care of my computers in the proper way. I wasn't updating my anti-virus software and when I did finally update them it was to late. I had downloaded so many programs and games and forgotten about them that they had adware that was cluttering my computer and making it slow. Being inexperienced with how computers really worked, I just assumed I needed a new computer. Now that I know better, i've been searching for newantivirus software. For about $29.95 I can get some great software that will for sure not clog up my system and make it crawl. My old software (before I got rid of it) would take years and years to do a scan it seemed. This software i've been looking at is called VIPRE® and it's an antivirus and antispyware software. It even has protection against all those spam emails that have nasty surprises hidden in them. So now i've learned my lesson. I will not just randomly download programs and I will make sure that my computer is constantly protected.

New Orleans

Everyone is always talking about how they want to head down to New Orleans and hit up Mardi Gras. I don't think it would be my cup of tea. I don't need to see a bunch of half naked drunk people shaking their stuff for some cheap beads. I'm not sure it would be the best for my diet either haha. However, visting New Orleans itself would be really neat I think. They have a ton of old buildings and supposed haunted places. Who knows, maybe someday I will find myself making new orleans hotel reservations. You won't catch me out in the streets looking for beads though.

Overweight

I've personaly given up on quick weight loss attempts. I know that my body is just going to let go of it when it lets go of it. However, it doesn't stop me from being curious about fast ways to lose weight. There are so many different methods out there and it's possible that some of them really DO work. There are certain websites on the net that allow you to read the pros and cons of a variety of different methods of losing weight quickly. Everyone says losing weight slow is the best and I tend to agree at least for ME, but if someone is severely overweight they could probably stand to drop a good chunk quickly and still be ok.

Orlando

Wow, you know, it's been 16 years since we stopped having our yearly orlando vacations. Unfortunatly we had only gone on them for about three years in a row. Then that stopped. It was quite expensive. These days they have quite a few more deals and options than they had back in 1993-'94. They say they make many changes to Disney World every year. Can you imagine how different it must look from the last time I saw it in 1994? It's funny, my uncle who is single, lives alone and has a great job goes almost yearly and was saying how much has changed in the last year. We were like "umm...we haven't been since the last time we went with you, in 1994..". He was like "ohh..". Granted, my aunt lived in Florida back then so that was an excuse to go down then. A few years after we visited her last she and my uncle and cousins moved ton a different state.

Manufactured Homes

Back in the early 2000s when I was with an ex boyfriend, we had considered looking into purchasing one of many manufactured homes from one of the pre-fab lots around the area that we lived in at the time. Since that relationship didn't work out, i'm very glad we didn't. However, my husband and I would love a house of our own someday when he gets out of the Military. I'm always jealous of those people that get the giant three story manufactored homes that look very nice and brand new. What space they must have! I've always lived in very small houses.

Toronto

Ever since I was a child i've loved Canadian made tv shows. I kind of, in a way, felt like since I lived in Maine it was pretty close to being in Canada anyway haha. Living in Guam right now where there was no snow on Christmas and the air is so hot and humid, it made me picture Maine and Canada Christmas weather. I'd love to visit Canada one day and stay in one of the Toronto hotels. One day when I go home to visit maybe I can make it to Canada. Degrassi rules!
